Hi! My name is Whitni Murase and I am currently a Hospitality and Tourism Management senior at San Diego State University. Like most college students, I love coffee, food and traveling. Cliche, I know. Some other things that make me who I am are my incredible talent to sing terribly, my love for puns, my ability to get lost in a book for hours, and my horrible sense of direction. Lastly, I love love. And someday I hope to be a professional event planner who helps showcase that love and makes dreams come true.
WHAT I'VE DONE
So far in my life, I have danced (for 12 years), been in school (for what seems like forever), obtained a few internships with wedding planners, won a few scholarships, and studied abroad. One of the most rewarding experiences of my life was studying abroad in Switzerland. I was away from my home for about 5 1/2 months and got to explore 12 different countries and 34 different cities. Needless to say, not a lot of studying was done.
What I do now is study a lot, work (sometimes), sleep (maybe), embrace my 21-year-old label, explore when I can, and hang out with my friends and family. I currently work as a caterer at SDSU Catering Services, as Banquet server at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp, and as an intern for Love Marks the Spot. I am also in a lovely leadership class called HTM 491 which is what this site is for. Click the tab Blooming Blogs and you will see all my posts.
